NEW HOMES
This new 10,000 square foot home in nestled in Greenwood Village, was designed in the style of an old Midwest farmhouse. The house resides on a 5-acre parcel with an addition, barn, garden, outdoor pool and other outbuildings. The entire project was envisioned to be as earth friendly as possible. The existing home was hand dismantled with the materials being reused, sold, or given away. The new home was built with geothermal heating, cooling, and hot water, along with solar energy and storage batteries for nighttime use. A root cellar was created to maintain vegetables harvested all season from the property, an old school dumbwaiter was installed to move the produce to the kitchen. The farm concept was carried through out the interior and can be seen especially in the kitchen cabinetry and sleek finishes. The homeowners were highly engaged during the construction and actually helped build a few of the cabinets. From the tiniest details all the way to the larger earth forward theme created a one of a kind farmhouse that is perfect for this family.
